Scion xA reliability - better stats

Scion xA reliability - better stats
I wanted more up-to-date car reliability information that included actual repair rates. So in late 2005 I started getting people together to make this possible. TrueDelta now updates actual repair frequencies, not just dots, four times a year, to track cars closely as they age.
We've been providing stats for the xB, xD, and tC. But the xA isn't in the survey yet--not quite enough owners signed up. The 2005 is about halfway to the minimum, and the 2006 is about 3/4 of the way.
Participants simply report repairs the month after they occur on a one-page survey. When there are no repairs, they simply report an approximate odometer reading four times a year, at the end of each quarter.
To encourage participation, participants receive full access to all results, not just those for the xA, for free.

Thanks, I appreciate it.
The 2006 has been added to the survey, so hopefully we'll start having some stats in August.

It looks like we'll start having results for the xA in November, with a preview for participants next month. We continue to need more participants to provide precise reliability stats for all model years.

It looks like we might not receive quite enough data for that result next month. With a few days to go, we're three responses short.
If you're signed up, but haven't yet responded, please do so.
If you haven't, a few more new participants would ensure a result next time around.

At long last We results for the xA, based on owner experiences through December 31, 2010.
With a very low reported repair frequency of 26 repair trips per 100 cars per year, the 2006 xA is much better than average.
Thank you, once again, to everyone who helped make this possible. We'll have further updates in May and August. With more participants, we could provide more precise information and cover all model years.

We have updated car reliability stats for the Scion xA to include owner experiences through March 31, 2011.
With a very low reported repair frequency of 20 repair trips per 100 cars per year, the 2006 xA is much better than average.
We'll have further updates in August and November. With more participants, we could provide more precise information and cover all model years.

Results for the xA, such as they are, are already in the thread.
But where do you think the data to provide the results comes from? If it were possible to view all of the results without signing up, there'd be no results to view.

What Mike is saying, is that the more xA owners who participate with this study, the better the statistics numbers become, due to having a larger sample size of participants to draw (site) from. Really every xA owner on here should participate (but there isn't anyway to make someone participate in the study), so we have better/realistic numbers , that would reflect how our cars perform.

We have some initial reliability stats for the xA (on our redesigned site) to include owner experiences through September 30, 2011. With a reported repair frequency of 16 repair trips per 100 cars per year, the xA is clearly very reliable.
Thank you, once again, to everyone who has been helping. We'll have further updates in February and May. With more participants, we could provide more precise information and cover all model years.

We have some initial reliability stats for the xA to include owner experiences through December 31, 2011. With a reported repair frequency of 16 repair trips per 100 cars per year, same as last time, the xA is clearly very reliable.
Thank you, once again, to everyone who has been helping. We'll have further updates later this month and in August. With more participants, we could provide more precise information and cover all model years.

We have updated our reliability stats for the xA to include owner experiences through June 30, 2012. The reported repair frequency for the 2006 xA remains very low, 7 repair trips per 100 cars per year.
Thank you, once again, to everyone who has been helping. We'll have further updates in November and February. We'd love to provide more precise stats and cover more model years--just a matter of getting more owners involved.
