Im pretty sure you know the owner. I know quite a few people in the Pacific-Mid area know him.

He used to hang out a lot at the Steven's Creek Scion, and his car was at Night Shift in Pleasanton (Different color then, as well as he did not have the Skyline tail lights at Night Shift)

That's not even the same car. The one in the video is completely gutted and turbo'd, the one for sale is overly stuffed with garbage and N/A. There is a 60hp and 800lb difference between the two.

i know its not the same car you said that it would be terrible for auto cross... i see it as you sayin xAs are no good for auto cross cause the vehicle weighs no less than 3200 lbs and is only making 100whp, so it would be terrible for autocross.
..... just turbo the car and get rid of the nasty roll cage and gut it and it would be just fine for auto cross ..... and if you were using it for autocross you prob wouldnt car about the body

3200 lbs? Where does that number come from?

The xA has a curb weight of 2350 lbs. I seriously doubt he has an extra 900 lbs of bondo, tubing, and audio equipment in that car.

Regardless, the car isn't autocross ready, but get your numbers straight.

I was saying that specific one would be terrible, because the seller said it's perfect for autocross. I've seen xAs at the track, and I personally know a gutted/turbo'd xA that does AutoX and Time Attack.

Guys, come on.

Anyway, I agree that car for sale is ugly, but some how the guy got the idea and parts. Sure we all wanted projector lamps like the xb, but no one offered them. Second, not sure I would go through all those mods to put honda lamps in it. Maybe he had them for some reason or worked at a honda dealer, who knows.

Having owned an xa, with the hostkins sways, urthene bushings and eibach springs, I can see auto cross. I use to drive it to teh point the rear slid around making sharp turns. Not sure why the xa has a larger turning radious than the yaris, but some extra gas on a turn makes it shorter.

The Yaris has a slightly different strut/knuckle design, which might lend to better steering geometry.
