Default So called "car meets"

So I'm driving through my town here in Vermont, and I happen to pass a burger king with an unusually large amount of cars there for the time on night. So I pull in and i notice that it's a "car meet". I park my xA and sit there for a second and watch all these kids with their Hondas, old bmw's and vw's. When one of the people comes up to my car and says "pop that hood". Now keep in mind, my xA is lowered has black depo lenses, HIDs, dc exhaust, headers, led interior, 5% tint and an injen cold air intake. So I open my hood and get out, and that's when an owner of a Jetta (yr 2000-05 I presume) and says "ha! This thing doesn't even have a turbo! I don't even think it could fit one!" bringing more people over, now some people said good things, and some went with this other douche. He keeps bragging about his car and all his boost and such, so I go over and check it out. I point out that it's a stock turbo and he doesn't even have a proper blow off valve, and after his friends giggle at him I walk over to my baby and begin to tell them how I get 40mpg, how it's never been wrecked and all of my parts and that I only have 60k miles on her. I ask him, "mpg? And miles?" he's states "around 20 I think" and 170k miles.... "but I could whoop you in a 1/4 mile" I shook my head and calmly stated, "doesn't matter man, 1) there's no 1/4 tracks around here, 2) my car is a gem and is not to be beat on and used for burn outs in front of the local high schools, and that's why I'll still have this car in the near future, and yours will be an old rusty tin can" and then I simply left. What I'm trying to get at is, I wish there were more scions around here so we could have our own little groups and show up all these kids and their POS cars. But this is VT and I'm pretty sure I'm the only one under 50 who drives a scion or even the only one who has modded mine to even show its true potential. It's sad. Next time I see one of these so called "meets" I'll post some pics, so remember this name and look for the title. Thanks for reading everyone, I had to get that out.

i have both a scion and a volkswagen so ive been on both sides and to different meets. scion drivers will compliment your car, help you out, and make suggestions. volkswagen drivers will tell you why their car is better than yours, and how volkswagens are the only cars that are even worth driving

damn, how do you pull off 40mpg? I'm usually around 34mpg with keeping it under 65 mph at all times and easy acceleration.
