Hi Everyone,

So I've owned my Scion xA for 3 years now, and though I LOVE it, it's time to get a bigger car for toting around clients...

Here's the thing. It's an '06 TRD Sportivo edition with the Blue TRD shocks, and the same rims that came on the RS 3.0 (Enkei), but I know it's not an RS... There's a long list of additional dealer installed options that I won't get into, but I just can't seem to find any specific info on the Sportivo package after a couple hours of searching.

Trying to figure out the extras involved... Is it just the suspension? I've driven other xA's, and mine feels way snappier - especially for an automatic. Maybe an extra 20hp or so. Chip upgrade?

Anyway, I appreciate any help you can offer, or a link to a website that can spell it out for me?

Oh, and I'm in So Cal in case you know anyone who's looking. Selling it cheap!

It might be in your head. Even if it DOES have extra 20hp, which I doubt.. you will not be able to feel the difference.

 

i personally have never heard of a sportivo edition. it may have the sportivo shocks and struts, but thats all ive ever heard of. it might feel "snappier" cause of the shocks or some lowering springs.

 

Yea, the dealership probably just bolted on the TRD suspension. There hasn't been an official package or anything like that... 20HP is kinda a lot with this car. Have you looked at the engine? It's possible that they put in an intake or something, but you're certainly not getting those numbers out of that.

The only TRD branded parts that were readily available engine wise are cold air intake and exhaust. Both of those together might get you 5-6HP on the top end.

 

yeah, it would have to be almsot every bolt on possible. a supercharger only gives like an additional 30 i think.

 

Not to mention that the only blowers are Greddy or Blitz, and a dealership certainly wouldn't have bolted those on.

Odds are, they loaded it with the TRD parts to clear their stock after the xA was no more. I know my regional reps had a huge party in '08 where they literally just gave all of their 1st gen stuff away to us.

 

Yea, alright... Just looking for some info. It has the Sportivo Badges, labeled suspension, Factory Enkei wheels. And whatever, it might be gearing, it might be an extra few hp. I'm pushing 40 and I've driven a lot of cars in my life, and I KNOW when one car is faster than another. I wouldn't have asked otherwise.
