I consider myself a function over form guy, but the spoiler and fog lights were the only accessories I got for my xA. Kind of what you said about just really liking those TRD 15's, I just really like the way the xA looks with the factory spoiler. I agree that $389 is ridiculously overpriced for a piece of plastic, but to me it makes my car complete and it's worth it. I was planning on upgrading suspension components, but after 1400 miles, I love the way the xA handles. It's plenty responsive for me while still being comfortable. I agree that it would look better lowered a bit, but not that much better. I guess when my stock springs or shocks wear out, I'll think about upgrading to something stiffer.
