Want to pipe in before I sign???
I sure could use some reminders to put on my "get this on paper before I sign... " list. I have so far:
1) NO dealer advertising. (paint too fragile.)
2) Radio of recent manufacture. (Are T1806 or T1807 or both the problem with skipping?)
3) Full tank of gas. (as they offered.)
4) Take it around the block before delivery.
5)
6)
7)
etc)
Can you add from there? I'd appreciate it!

Not only take it around the block, but take it up to 80, if you can, just to make sure you don't have any vibrations.
I picked my car up, took her up to 60, no vibes... went to drive on the turnpike a couple weeks later, hit 70-75, and I had a moderate vibration through the steering wheel. Went back, had them rebalance all 4 wheels/tires, and align the car.
Also, if they changed out springs or shocks/struts, make sure you doublecheck ALL of the bolts after purchase.

Will do.
There's been no mods yet.
I (embarrassingly admitting) had a new Dodge Omni once and it ground the ujoints on left turns. The engine was installed 2" too far to the right and they had to get a crowbar , stand on the bumpers and cram the engine left so it would stop binding the transaxle.
Nice huh?
Oh yeah, I'll ease her up to 80, shortly.

Deffinatley check out the paint and check for dents ect. Inside make sure you take a flashlight to go over for scratches and dings. Check under the car in the front and back making sure that it has never bottomed out or the muffler has moved out of place ect. Then, most importantly, enjoy your new xA!
Got it. Check for dings. I can see using the flashlight in night but what about it the day?
and chrivenki - I live near the Akron-Canton airport. Lots of construction rocks, etc... Nice paint scheme BTW.

Even if you must run a front plate, you can attach it to the lower grille with long bolts, so tell the dealer NO HOLES!!!!
(Sorry, pet peeve)
You get 3 free oil changes from Scion, if your dealer offers your first one free, remind them that makes 4, not 3. I went round and round about that, it isn't worth the hassle.
Make sure all the windows raise and lower at the same speed as it's opposite. If one is slow, weak motor.
If you got Scion mats, make sure that they fit....

Thanks everbody. Keep 'em coming.
Signed today for the white manual basic xA. Its incoming by rail to Chicago now and should be here by carrier in a week.
Since I did not order mats, I have to use that self-sticky carpet protector vinyl in the meantime.
Had it put on the purchase order NO license plate holes to be drilled. AND NO dealer stickers, plates, of any kind.
So lets see what they come up with, how it looks and how she drives. So in the meantime, more suggestions please.
$13320 delivered. No hassles.
