What do you call your Car?
I was just curious whether people call there car the Scion xA or the Toyota IST. I don't know why, but I have been saying it's a Toyota IST, rather then saying xA.
I call my car a Scion xA, however, I get lots of questions from older people asking me what is a Scion, or who makes it? At that point, I explain Scion is a Toyota, and in Japan and other countries where it was sold, it goes by the name Toyota ist . I then explain that Toyota Motor Sales U.S.A. wanted to create a youth brand for the American market to primarily target the under 30's age group, and the Scion brand was born in 2003 to achive that goal.
One time my friend was like " You got a scion... what a ___" in a jokingly way. and then i was like "Dude, you have a toyota, we are in the same group... actually we are the same. It's call the Toyota IST. Scion is just a branch of Toyota." He got ownd... and we had a couple of beers later. It was a good night.
no one ever knows what i'm talking about if i try to call it an ist. then again, people usually don't know what i'm talking about when i say xA either..so i just say i have a scion. "oh the box?" no, the other one. "oh the coupe?" no, the other one... "there's another one?"

"the wedge"
These are things I say when they ask, "Oh is it the box or the coupe?". Nope, it's the doorstop, and then they know which one I'm talking about.
