I swear to God people do not know how to read an EMBLEM on a car. I had one dude say "those new Mini Coopers are neat looking" when he was pointing to my RS2.0. Then I had some chick say "I like your car, they changed the look on that Volkswagen Beetle huh?". Then some dude called me out at the light and it went like this.

Guy: Hey Bro.
Me: Sup
Guy: What kind of car is that?
Me: It's a Scion
Guy: A what?
Me: Basically a Toyota
Guy: Oh, so it's a Toyota Scion huh?
Me: Uh no, a Scion xA that is made by Toyota
Guy: So it's not a toyota
Me:
....so after the longest light in history I shook my head and drove off.

I am not suprised about the case of the Mistaken Identity. As I am the ONLY xA owner in A-Town(according to my dealer who incidently wants to make my car the FLAGSHIP Scion for the team that they sponsor in Arena Football once the RS is finished). Some people are just

ive heard mini cooper too before. Anybody paint threir roof yet or put stripes on it? i think white stripes on a 1.0 would look hot

I have a buddy that picked one up. I was trying to talk him into a tC, but the 3 won
over.

After driving his 3, I see why!

It's got bottom end torque, it's pretty sleak interior and exterior, and it handles
like it's on rails!

Totally smokes the xA and xB quality wise.

But people don't stop him at the gas station or at stop lights to compliment him on his
car...so I'm still happy with my box!

I mention that my Scion is made by Toyota about as much as I would mention that a Lexus is made by Toyota... exactly, I don't mention it at all.

People around haven't really mistaken my xA for something else, but they have wondered what it was.

I was pulled over once and got in an accident once. Both times, I insisted to the cops that the make of the car was a Scion. Just because you haven't heard of it doesn't mean it doesn't exist. (Ack! Triple negative!)

yeah um i've had a few people ask me if my scion was the new Hummer, and even some thought it was an H2..... just kidding

one person did think, however, that it was the new honda civic si.... i can see the front headlight resemblance sort of....

This is funny b/c I hear comments all the time....

"Is that a Mini", "Is that a Smart car?", "Dude, why did you buy a mini-van?", "Sky-on?", "Shy-on?", "See-on?"

....but the worst is when girls will say, "Aww, it's so cute." That kinda sucks. In those cases I'd pull away really fast if I were actually able to.

Dammit I hate it when people call my car cute.

I have noticed lately that people are staring at my Scion. I think they are trying to undress it with their eyes.

The other day when I was installing the strut bar, people were stopping/slowing way down trying to take a peek at my egg.

I have confused my car with the Mini.
