i get 37 city and 33 highway why is that

next year imma gonna fix that problem with a new car 383 4bbl auto trans with a 2.76:1 gear ratio just for highway driving

I don't understand, that's pretty darn good for today's standards for a car that isn't a hybrid...

 

The highway mpg seems kinda low IMO considering I can get about 30-32 in the tC..I guess it depends on how you're driving it though *shrug*

is overdrive off? If i drive 60mpg I am getting closer to 38mpg.

 

I get 28mpg in the tC going 80 on the highway. I could get 30mpg probably going 70

how are you guys getting such high mpg's. i drive a 5spd, never really speed. average out at 65 on freeway. most ill do is maybe 70 give or take. i get like 20 city/25 freeway

You're MPG is definitely way to low even for our cars.

Still helpful to hear from other drivers. I used to drive an xA all the time and probably never even came close to what you average.

I do 65mph all the time on the highway and I only seem to average 25 mpg highway. Driving 70mph gives me about the same results. Sometimes I even see 23-24 mpg. I think the highest mpg I have have seen on my car is 28mpg. I check my tire pressure and go by the numbers on the door panels since I am on stock tires and wheels.

 

Wow sorry your not getting that good of MPG! Yea i hand calculated it 3 times on a trip and saw 28mpg everytime. This was on different days too. My city is like 20-22mpg. This car hates traffic and city driving!

 

@XIEmperorIX yeah, i just checked it 2 days ago. theyre all at about 37 psi. what am i doing wrong? i dont have a heavy foot to be driving around crazy. i dont have headers or a cai. only the hks exhaust. has that got to do with anything?
