Winter and my XA
mine does great. mine isnt lowered (and its not going to be) so i just drive over snow piles. the stock tires they give us here in colorado (goodyear eagle ls) are great. the 5-speed manual helps and the car does great starting in 2nd gear from a standstill (poor mans traction control). and as long as you take it easy and give yourself plenty of braking distance, its stops and handles well (the ABS system in mine is kinda twitchy so i give myself A LOT of distance, like a city block long, lol)
my handles great in the snow and its lowered an inch or so, i'm on stock rims and gonna stay on stock rims
just give your self alot of space to slow down...
its pretty fun smoking all ppl in there suv and what not
for me i can't wait till it snows again gonna be some mad fun

Mine is lowered 2 inches or so on Tanabe DF210s. Stock steelies and tires. Plowed some snow piles with my front bumper. Took a turn a little too fast during that blizzard we had and surprisingly it didn't spin out.
So without lowering yours, you have plenty of ground clearance.
