Default Xa eyelids installed, if anyone cares....

Just got my Mazda6stuff eyelids painted and installed. I also painted my RS1 grille to match (was black) and painted the mesh artic silver to match my wheel spokes. I'll be installing some matching mesh on the bottom next week. What do you think?

Thanks! Yes, it's an RS grille, or Toyota Sports grille if you prefer. I got mine for 265.00 shipped, here: www.myautofashion.com

Thanks again!

did you just pop off the grille and take out the "mesh" part to paint it? I'm really interested because i have the actual RS1, and i'm putting that silver mesh on the bottom and i want to paint the grille as you did too..... looks great keep up the good work!

Yup, just take out the 4 plastic retainers on top of the grille, then gingerly pull up on the sides (one at a time, with a little back & forth wiggle) until the left & right snaps pop out. Then, with the grille removed, take out a bunch of little screws and retainers and the mesh just lifts out.

Yup. Can't see paying for the factory kit. I don't even drive at night that much. And, if they get damaged, I've only got to fork out another $20.00! They're a _____ to put in though.

I have the same ones. I had no problem installing them... I just took the square bracket off so that I only had the straight parts on, turned them around so that the screws pointed outwards, tightened all the screws down really tight and they just pugged right into the stock holes... no drilling required, they're a really tight fit...

They are a tight fit, for sure! The way you did it is probably better. I didn't think of trying that. Either way, aiming is still a problem. Sure look cool though!

K-Mart or Wal-Mart? The sticker looks familiar. I blew my dealer installed lights when a rock hit them and im not paying $125 per cover.

Im pretty sure I can get that rs grill from the dealer cheaper. I just looked into it a week ago. Since its not an accessorie and I work at the dealer I get a discount. Let me get a exact quote and Ill let yall know what the price is just incase anyone else is planning on doing this.
Also your pics didnt work for me any one else with this problem.
