Default xA future used prices and raceing potential.

I am in the market for a second, inexpensive late model car to convert into a "pure" race car. I havent decided on any car or any type of raceing and I have been doing some horrible cross shoping.

I was thinking of getting a Scion xA or a Echo for racing in 1600cc motorcross or even rally-cross. However the xA is just to pricy at this time. I was wondering what the expected future resale of it will be. Can I expect to purchase a xA in another year or so for around $9k?

Other cars I am looking at is the Chevy Aveo (man that thing will have to be cheap in a year), Daweo Lo-something HB (can you say chump-change), Echo (polor pricing, dirt cheap to shear madness), Mx-3 (limited aftermartket and potential), Scirocco (god if only i could find a good one) and Hyundai Accent (the iron coffin).

Any help and suggestions are greatly apreciated.

Thanks, Jack

Ever think about getting a hit vehicle? I just recently picked up an xb that was hit in the rear quarterpanel for about half of what your looking to spend on a car. It'll probably take nother 2-3 thousand to repair and paint. Heck, if your going racing, you might not even have to paint it. =p Think of them as racing scars ^_^

Yup, do you know where I could maybe get in contact with a dealer of such cars? I live in the mid-west, and I have no problem with a mashed car so long as the frame is straight. I also dont have much problem picking one up from a distance.

we've had some xAs get messed up out here, but most of them were totalled due to soo much damage. On the bright side if I mess up my xA I know who to go to, but in the mean time I'll ask some of our guys up here..
