I have an 05 xA. The fuel pump went so I replaced with a new pump.
The new pump works car still won't start. I checked for spark and all appears good.

I even sprayed some starting fluid in to throttle body. It just cranks but will not fire.

Any suggestions?

throwing any codes? could be a sensor that went out

No codes. It should fire when starting fluid sprayed in but nothing. A friend thought maybe timing belt broke or jumped and its out of time.

I'm new with the Scion so the car is alien to me. Not that it matters but I was wrong it's a 2006

Hi jct. I'm having the exact same problem with my wife's 2005 XA and was wondering if you very found out what was causing this? Her's has around 88k miles. I replaced the fuel pump today and I can hear the pump cycle but and it turns over but will not catch/run.

Did you every get this solved? Please and thank you.
