xA to tC; back to xA with tC
I think someone needs to put a big boot up my a$$
...
First I buy a Silver Streak xA; new in March of '06. Then I traded it in for a new Classic Silver tC in November. Now, all this hype about the xD made me realize I miss my xA
So on my way home from work today; something came to my head; "Why not buy it back from Carmax. You'll have your tax return soon and put some extra into a down payment." Carmax has had my old xA for the past three months. Came home went online and saw they had sold my old xA. I went onto Autotrader and did a search...found a RS 1.0 with 38,000 miles for 11,000-ish. So I might check that out this weekend...since the RS 1.0 is the real reason why I wanted a xA in the first place. I fell in love with the Red. This one already has rims on it so I wouldn't have to spend cash for that. It's at a Dodge dealership; so I might have chance to talk down little bit
Two reasons why I wouldn't mind spending cash for this car...
1. I work for a Illinois company; But I currently work at our Wisconsin location. There's always a chance of me going back to commuting everyday for work. I don't think the tC would like that too much and the gas mileage is 26-ish; I would look around three fillups a week. While I only had to fillup once with my old xA.
2. It's RS, the first Scion xA RS. I could make that baby look showroom quality within four hours which I could make it look brand new all over again.
Payments should be around 200-ish. My insurance agent would give me more of a discount for having two cars. And I have good relationship with my dealership's service department so I know the xA would be welcome for service. Well, we'll wait and see...I guess going to Chicago Auto Show with my Dad today might be good time to throw him a idea when we're looking at the xD and xA. "I wish you wouldn't sell your xA....." says Dad. "Well you know Dad, there's RS 1.0 for 11,000 and I'm getting a nice return"

well i just sold my xA for a tC a week or so ago. and im quite happy granted the RS 1 xA is quite possibly the sickest xA ever made i still wouldent think it would be worth haveing two high car patments. your one person with two new car payments basicaly..... thats not a good idea if you want it i would either sell the tC and but the xA again or stick with the tC. the tC has alot of things over the xA like Cruse Control!!!!!!! is a bigggie. i dident know how much i missed it. as far as gas and inshurance you would not make up enough in either of those to make it aan even wash. i say be happy i sold my xA because it was an even wash. my out go each month actully went down 10$. from the xA to the tC. if you have the money and dont care how you sepnd it than go for it. i would rather set that money aside and save up for a house of my own..... thats just me. i hope my jibborish dident confuse to many people.
Looks like a good deal to me. Drive train and rust protection is still under factory warranty for a few years yet. 11k is a great deal on that if the car still looks new on the inside and out.
The grass IS greener. I ditched my 525i for an RS1, and I have no regrets. Other than the suspension, which is being upgraded in the spring.

I suck xA guys & gals!!
I blew away my whole tax returns on TRD CAI, Carbon Fiber engine cover, and TRD Front Strut Tie Bar for the tC. I kind of think it's good idea anyway since I've been thinking about quitting my job and move out of Wisconsin. I've been thinking of being with my Mom's side of the family in Indiana or in Western Illinois. I don't think they would like it if I personally had to worry about two cars.
