Default XA Undercoating/Rustproofing

Anyone notice that there is little if no undercoating on the XA. Mine has bascially none. Here in Ohio we use a lot of salt. I went back to the dealer and saw two more XA's. One just like mine with no black undercoating and one that had wheel wells, etc all undercoated.

Seems strange

You would have to pay extra for it.

Most cars have galvanized sheetmetal these days so rust is not as big of problem as it once was.

I spent 2 years in Wisconsin and everytime it got to 30 deg in the winter I hit the car wash and spent $7-$8 blasting all the salt and crud from the bottom of my cars. No rust but it's a pain in the &^##!

I'm from Cleveland OH. You going to HIN? I will be there. I'm actaully reseaching ways to protect the underside of the car. The dealership wants a lot of money to do it. There has to be a cheeper way. Let me know what you have found out.

Thanks
