Default xA in the wind

We are having a very windy day here in the KC area. That is the one thing I do not like about this car. It is horrible in the wind. How is the xB? I would imgine it would be even worse.

as long as you slow it down a bit, its not to bad, but its to be expected with our small light cars.

I feel for you! I'm in Lawrence, KS right now. I drive 18 miles into town every day. Maybe if it weren't feeling like 20 degrees out there right now, I'd just open the windows and let the wind go right through... ;-)

yea i agree with you on the wind thing, it got real windy the other day when i was crossing over a bridge
i used to drive a van tho (basically a big sail) and the xA is at least an improvement from that!

You know what? You're wrong. xA's do anything but suck. Go back to the tC forum. So much for the whole "Scion family vibe." I'm sorry you (or someone) can't afford the BMW M5 you rilly rilly rilly deserve. I have three more doors than you. And my ride has a tad more personality than yours that looks not so unlike a Gran Prix or any of a number of two-door Camaro knock-offs.

Just sayin'. U know, the works.

woo performance, for the same price as a new tC i can buy an xA and turbo it and be faster than a stock tC so dont talk. looks.... sorry i dont like lookin like every other honda civic wanna be ill pass. if i were ever to get a 2 door car it would be either a roadester like an sl 500, a porsche or a clk 500 amg. a tC is just a compermise. i even wanted to buy a tC a while ago. the cars feedback to the driver is so vegue and it's so unrespocive that i thought i was driving a ford taurus again. a far cry from a sports car, my xA has left many tC's in the dust on back roads. now as far as "bling bling" u have me beat. but atleast i getin in the mid 30mpg in the city. so dont come into an xA forum and bash you will get flamed

I actually thought the xa is really good considering the height and weight of the car...

My civics (00 si, and 96 hatch that thought it was an Si) where horrible even when they where lowered!

Philadelphia gets a lot of wind as well

I always wonder why a simple topic can't stay a simple topic..

In any case.. I drove cross country from Mississippi back home to Washington and often times I'd be pulling the steering wheel one way and she'd go the other! It's also been really windy these last 24 or so hours here on the West Coast.. half the city still without power.. I drive over two bridges to get to work and the wind just wraps right around them both. Very scary!

It's pretty bad here at the moment...My xA was shaking alot when I waited at red lights when I was coming home from work today. But the gas milage kept the same and I was driving in the wind.

what i do with my xa is just slow her down some when it's windy... but really, any small car gets affected when it's really windy... even the tc's (contrary to what that chick tc owner's been trying to infer...)

even when we owned a BIG chevy family van, that thing got tossed around on the golden gate and the bay bridge. it really was like a big "sail," like lizardxAqueen said. there are also two tc's in my family, and those too are prone to "white knuckle driving" on windy days... especially on the golden gate bridge (which is traversed every day)!

so, my advice would be just to slow it down some so you can have better control of your baby. can't really do much else. the wind pushes any car... just find a way to work with it

hope this helped! :D
