I have both, so I'll try to give you an objective opinion. Each car has it's strong points and weak points.
xA good points: Fun to drive. It's lighter, so it makes better use of the 108 HP. Great gas milage and very easy to manuver and park. Cool styling yet it's a little more subtle. The stock stereo sounds better, since the speakers are all door mounted, and closer to the ears, so it seems to me. Cargo cover standard, which is nice, and better design then the xB...
xA weak points: Can be a little too small for some things. If you will regularly have people in the back seat, it may not be the best choice; my brother has to sort of 'slide' into the back in the xA, but not in the xB. If standing out of the crowd is your thing, then the xA is a bit weaker the the xB; I get more stares and questions in the xB then the xA.
xB good points: As mentioned, very cool styling. TONS of interior space. Nice comfortable ride. Pretty good gas milage, for a Box. I have the five speed in the Box, and Auto in the Egg.
xB weak points: Stock, it can seem very underpowered sometimes. It does get slightly worse highway MPG, but you know, that is the way a Brick is.
Overall, I enjoy the whole package with the xB; but I like cars that stand out of the crowd.
However, one thing I do dig about my xA more then my xB: I love the color of my xA more then the xB. I wish I had that color for my xB.
