Default 2004 Scion xB overheating

My xB is overheating it doesn’t do it all the time I drove it all day and the light started blinking I turned it off and came back and drove home it was fine it’s happened twice so far coolant from the reservoir has bubbled out a couple of times.
I just did a Burpee to the system and new Thermostat and the fan is kicking on. The hose going to the engine sucks in when it get hot I put a pic of what it does. I just filled the Radiator and now it low the reservoir is full.

What do I do?

That hose will be your problem, it should not collapse. Have you or any other previous owner ever changed the hoses on the car?
If not it sounds like it's time to change out all the large hoses and any of the small ones you can get access to. Then refill with toyota coolant and you should be good for another 6 years for coolant and 12 years for hoses.
Might want to check the thermostat and see if it is in the right way up.

I did a PPT years ago on it if this is something you want to tackle yourself

Excellent info and write-up, I'm going to see if we can get this added to the 'Tech' section...PM sent.

E-mail sent with the full PPT file and also a ppt of the aux input fix.
Link to my car maintenance page on youtube also. Has the fix for when you assemble the drum brakes on the rear wrong and a few other things. Some XB related too.
