Default 2006 xA multiple cylinder misfires

Greetings all,

My 06 xA (~130,000 miles) is reading cylinder 1 and 3 misfires (separate codes not the multiple code). After driving for a couple of minutes, the engine will sputter and gasp and the air filter box will start to shake. This first started happening when I was out of town for 2 weeks, and when I got back home, the check engine light came on and the sputtering started. I was hoping that it was from sitting for two weeks, but I wasn't that lucky. The spark plugs were replaced about 15 months ago and since there are TWO cylinder misfires, it tells me something else could be going on. Any thoughts?

Thanks!

Try swapping coils packs, clear the codes and see if you get new misfire codes and what cylinders they might be for...based upon mileage I would guess you're having coil pack issues, especially if you just put new plugs in.

Could be injectors also but I doubt it.

There was a good amount of water that filled up one of the spark plug slots Getting rid of the excess water seems to have solved things, for now.
