Default 22-RT Turbocharged in an xb.

yeah one of the guys in my apt building gave me this Scion: Fine Tuned. It has a lot of scion's all hooked up in them. i cam across this one xb done up by this justin hampton guy. it has a 22-RT TURBOCHARGED engine in it capable of 400 HP!! i almost didn't believe the number when i saw it. it's pretty slick though. when i can i'll try and figure out how to post the pics up. the exterior is kinda goofy but the engine is all i was concerned with. i'm wondering how hard it would be to actually do this conversion. sounds sweet. i'm not actually going to do it but i just thought i'd post it up. Owning both an xA and an 85 Celica with an 22RE I can honestly say that the 22RTE may fit in an xB but I doubt it.
Getting the 22R onto a FWD transmission will prolly cost more money than it's worth.
I would sooner believe that someone got a 1MZ in an xB.

ah yes the sema car. it's even rwd. and it's a body of an xb that had the floor cutout and then put onto an old toyota minitruck frame.

Yeah, I dug up the owners email somewhere. I was intrested in the suspension after I saw the car in pic from SEMA. After talking with him a bit, the only Scion left in that car is the body. Its mostly truck with a salavaged XB body. Its kind of a shame that its vinyl wrapped and stuff. If they did the insides and paint like they did the suspension and engone it could be one of the best customs out there. Hopefully it gets finished, I don't think it even had its engine at SEMA but I could be wrong, so maybe its still got a ways to go.

The engine is missing a lot of things to make it run, like wiring, vacuum hoses, PCV valve, etc...... 400 horses????

400Hp is achievable.
Of course then it will be like the 500HP tC.

FWD Cars have a sideways mounted engine. That is what I was refering to.
