I think that would be a huge waste of money. That'll cost several thousand dollars for very little gain. You'd be better off trading in for a car with a manual transmission or going for a whole engine/tranny swap so you'll have an engine with more power potential.

not worth it. at all. only if it was a dedicated project car would that be justifiable.

i was thinking that with the money to convert the tranny, i could almost getting a supercharger for it, but im not sure how much gain will a better clutch and a better flywheel offer, i heard they do give pretty go low end incresse, i really want to increse the low end, but if i do get the supercharger i have to go with the auto one, so that means later on i want to convert my tranny, i wont be able to do it, due to the auto supercharger i got. also i wont trade my car in just for the trannny, i have done many mods to my car, and its piad off, i wont want the bill to come back again. i dont know, what shuold i do, forget manual tranny and go with SC, or convert the Tranny then do the SC, i dont know how much power will i miss with a better clutch and a better flywheel......

Yes, yes you can...helps shift better and hold more hp through it. :D

I say if you want a manual transmission then go trade your auto in..plain and simple dont go through the mess of swapping transmissions.. But an auto can be damn fun too.

I dont see any after market torque converter yet, looks like nobody makes them for auto tran, almost everyone mod their manual,but i have not seen on the web that has any mods for an auto tran, and whats an HD clutch? if i can find one good torque converter and for sure does a good low end increase, i sure will do that insted of swapping a manual, any one know anybody makes aftermarket torque converter for xa an xb??

HD = heavy duty

you should also throw in a tranny oil cooler also

you might want too call around a few transmission shops too see what they offer...

if you want so much power in a small car, you could just get a wrx.

Swapping to a manual will be a little helpful due to the gear ratio and also if your upgrading the clutch and flywheel. Just keep it in mind it WILL be pricey, especially brand new from toyota. Try to find a wreak/really cheap manual xb and pull the necessary hardware including the computer (from my experience, my 180sx has such thing as a auto and manual ecu. I didn't fill much difference because my tuner was practicing his ECU tunning skills on it. [first timer]). Or you can just trade it in for a manual.
