You can get the AEM 21567B "L-pipe" version for about $199 but you will need to buy a bypass (AEM20400S) for around $40 on various sites around the net. Works great for me!

why would you need a bypass? there not gonna be much water gettin up behind the foglight. but thats just my thought and the bypass kills power . but to each his own. i got the aem "l pipe" cold air/short ram intake for 207 shipped. cheapest i could find.

Two words: "Road Spray" on the dirty/muddy streets of Richmond. I have found leaves and paper sucked up to the filter and to that affect I have had to replace the MAF sensor TWICE before adding the bypass. When the MAF dies, you can only turn 3000 RPMs...really sucks at 2AM on a 200 mile road trip! :?

this is old but... the filter being where it is...
is there really much chance of road spray?
Don't the splash shields stop it?

Also the bypass doesn't open up or do anything unless the main filter opening is blocked off completely.
well not completely, but blocked up enough that its too hard to pull air from there, and the negative air pressure opens up the bypass fins.
Not quite sure how that would prevent contamination... unless its preventing the dirt and stuff from being forced through the filter.
I would think then that probably the K&N drycharger cover thing might be a better option to get. Since if your primary filter is clogged enough to force open the bypass, that filter should've been cleaned long ago

oh btw did you have to chop the intake for the bypass?
