just wondering id any fellow xb'ers are running NOS, if so how big of a shot and is it worth it ?

 

the featured car of the month is running NOS. I believe its dual 35 shots. you should PM them

 

yeah i am running 32oz of pure bottled water it adds like 1 to 2 extra horsepower.....

 

just wondering if it is safe or not , i wannna do it for looks mostly , but may fire it up from time to time , also , dyno numbers would be neat to see ( xb on NOS on a dyno)
, i did not but this car to go fast , i bought it for the same reasons as most of you , differnet , good fuel economy , and toyota craftmanship

 

with a 35 shot on a fogger setup you could probably squeeze 400 times which is alot considering you would only squeeze when racing or at the track. i would rather save that money and invest in a s/c

 

1st doesent that void ur warrenty

2nd if u just wana have it for looks i saw a kit in jegs macine that looks like a whol nos kit but it is just a kit to make it look like when people sprey the nos out side of there gar like in a cloud of gas

 

I know my friend Paul w/ a turbo charged XA has 2 NOS bottles in his car that are functional. Dont know if he uses @ all or just for show. He was one of the featured rides of the month.

I use two bottles. Of Guinness. They don't make me go faster, but I FEEL like I am, and I don't have to be going 120 to be unsafe. I'm unsafe at any speed! :burp:

 

If you believe Dub City, every xB has a bottle of Nitrous between the rear seats. Every 1:24 and 1:64 Dub City car I have has a NOS bottle in it!

I guess I am too old school to understand doing anything mostly for looks...any of my hard earned money I spend on mods is not going to be for looks in any aspect...if it doesn't make my car faster, safer, or handle better I am not interested in doing it...and nitrous systems should be artfully hidden
