what kind of HP gain do you want, because if you want a big HP gain , you need somthing else. The axle backs only help with 2 HP gains. :D

I'm thinking about going with the Borla cat-back, it seems a few people with xb's have done it and like it. Cost is definatley a concern, saw the Borla on ebay for around $186. I like the power ratings for this mod, 8hp & like 12 pf torque.

I ordered my ride with the AEM air induction. I was thinking of going with ceramic coated headers (also from ebay) they claim 8-16 hp gains listed at $169. My main concern though is not voiding my warranty.

Hey dude, congrats on your purchase, I know you will enjoy it.

As for your mods, those numbers are definately high, even too high... I think the highest dyno may be around 105. That is with intake/header/exhaust setup... for a total of about 10 or 11 hp. As for voiding your warranty, it depends on the shop and the warranty writer. The law, Magneson-Moss warranty act states that a shop has to prove your part caused another part to fail. So, you could argue if something breaks on your ride. As for Ebay parts, I'd be a bit concerned when purchasing parts from an Ebay seller for my engine. Could be a great deal or it could cause damage. I would ask around to find reputable dealers, some can even match ebay prices.

In any case, good luck with your mods!

Might I recomend asking questions to a person that is on scionlife a lot, and has a good reputation and over 80 100% Positives on ebay. :D Or even can get you a system that won't bug you at freeway speeds. (No exhaust system is made for both manuel or automatic scions except PrecisionMuffler.com) :D Just a shameless plug, since its my topic anyway.

Stylis, any sound files of your new baby? I'd love to hear it on the freeway and at cruising speed, idle etc...

I need to get someone with a sound clip option on their camera. Then you will have your sound.

Stylis, it looking more and more like I won't make the trip up there but, still trying to plan things out so... :?

How hard is the install to do, do you think someone with little experience at this sort of stuff can do the install? Does it come with pretty detailed instructions?

I hope I can drive up there...

It is easy to install the axle back on our cars. Not a hard item to install at all

Three friends, Mr. Green, Mr. Red and Mr. Blue, were talking Scions. One man drives a red xB; one a green xA; and the other a blue tC. "Although our cars have colors corresponding to our names, not one of us owns a car that matches it," says the man with the blue tC. Mr. Red answers, "You're right!"

What color car does each man have?

To answer his new riddle:

Mr. Green drives the blue tC, Mr. Red drives the green xA, and Mr. Blue drives the red xB, and I drive the Thundercloud xB.

I'm good at these.

Stylis,
Have you done any Manifold back exhausts on an Automatic XB? CAI, DC sports header with a manifold back exhaust should provide a nice little power increase, right? Would the noise be manageable? I know noise doesn't mean power but on an xb with more power will you end up with more noise? I don't want my box to sound like a racecar because it never will be but I would like a little more umph.

Thanks.
