Default Blitz supercharger

What's up,

I want to let everyone out there know that the new US version of the blitz supercharger has plenty of power and torque. It's well worth the money I know the japanese version wasn't all that great, some said you only saw 15 hp. I just got my x/b off the dyno last week she put out 123hp at 5900rpm and 128 torque at 4200rpm Iam very happy with the numbers. But number dont always tell the whole story. The best part is that You can really feel the torque in the seat of your pants at low rpm. Thats what counts in my book low end torque is king on the street not high rpm hp thats for the drag strip. The box pulls just like a big v6 and keeps pulling all the way to the redline. Hats off to the guys at blitz you got it right this time.

Thats good to hear. I'd ideally like to run one in the future - big coin though (compared to some of the other bolt ons)
How does this system of high and low boost work that I was hearing about?

I will be running F/I shortly, but I'm still not sure if I should turbo, or go with the blitz, or the P.E. s/c

so hard to decide, the blitz looks sooooo nice under the hood, but the P.E. has the edge on power especially in the top end, but the turbos have so many possibilities.... I'll probably end up with blitz cuase of the easy install and conservative psi

Default bolt ons

Kangarod,

Check ouy my profile to see all my mods. The control switch for low, med, and high works off the throttle position low is 25% med is 50% and high is 75%
I kept it on low all the time since I want the blower to come on as soon as possible. Position 3 is better for highway driving.

Later

Default blitz supercharger

To tell you the truth I haven't noticed any loss in my gas mileage, and I would say Iam shifting the same anyone where between 3000 to 4200 depending on my mood and traffic. So adding a blitz supercharger is not going to kill your gas mileage. But now you must run at least 91 octane you can't run 87 anymore or you will be pinging.

Maybe one day i'll have one... I think Blitz would have alot better sales with the compressor if they priced very close to 2000.00. Aside from the whole "R&D" cost issue that many bring up, i think that the supply and demand curves would meet up very nicely at that price. Then again, they migh just sell like hot cakes which would cause a shortage. Man, at that price i know i'd snap one up!!

its hard for a lot of people to justify $3000 for 30 hp.

for me, if the car came with 30 more horse from the factory, and cost $3000 more, I still would have bought it. Thats how I justify it, not that buying aftermarket car parts needs to be justified, because there is no other reason than " I want it"

yeah, having it as a factory option would probably attract a lot more people.

30hp in such a light car can go a long way, specially if you are driving by yourself. i also really like the idea of the magnetic clutch it has, so you can simply turn it off and return your car to basically stock mpg with the flip of a switch. despite the huge cost, i think if i could afford it i would definitely be considering!

Is that true? I thought the switch was tied into your TPS?
