Not very hard, but have a good and long socket extension some wd40 and a jacked dude to help. Or just dont work out that day so you can get your arms all beefed up tryig to get those spring loaded bolts out. Also get new gasket, your stock donut gasket should still work, but i recomend geting a new one from the dealer anyway. Yeah, get both gaskets from the dealer, "exhaust manifold gasket" and "donut gasket"

Does anyone have any information on the Magnaflow cat-back system? I have a chance to get a good deal on one, but don't know if it's worth the money.

For the ~$160 range the Tsudo N1 axleback isn't too bad, not so loud that you need to rock the silencer but it's got a decent amount of roar. Just watch out, you run a high risk of melting the bumper with the oversized tip.

Snap-easy installation and the construction looks excellent. For a bolt-on budget muffler shopper, this one's worth considering.

Check the post above you my friend, the N1 definitely growls, just has a wee bit of "silence" around 4k-4.5k but it definitely has some growl to it around 2-3k and from 5K to redline. With a SRI.... it vaugely reminds me of an S2000. One that's being short-shifted, anyway

I wish the tip on the N1 wasnt so big , id hate to melt the bumper , I was maybe thinking the Hks or the Precision muffler, But I heard with precision muffler one of the brackets need to be modified down there.

If you can get a slightly larger exhaust hanger the problem no longer exists. -shrug-

what would be recommended for a header/axle back setup that is not as loud as the strup on the highway but sounds just as good.

thanx.

Tanabes make excellent exhausts, especially for Japanese cars. As far as power gains, there would not be much differences between the different cat back/axle backs, only the sound. And that would depend on your preference. Saw a DC Sport installed on You Tube, and I liked the sound. Am familiar with Tanabes, and if it wasn't for the price, I would have bought it.

If you're interested in power gains, include a CAI and maybe headers. The better your car breathes, the more power it gives out, and the better the sound.

axlebacks:

Espelir
TRD
Strup
Tanabe

Which is the best for a non-ricer sound and a good price?
