My wife's car had the factory option AEM CAI on it. It was the full length one with the bypass. I think it's a really nice intake, she just got a bit tired of the "vroom vroom" noise. It has a few scuffs on it (probably from a rushed tech installing it), but considering it was on the car for almost 3 years that's to be expected. She's the boss though so off it came and I guess I'll list it in the classifieds before too long.

There are lots of nice intakes out there, but try not to shop only on price. Staying with the big names (maybe avoid Ebay cheapies) will probably be safest. Good luck!

you know... sometimes some of you are just complete jerks...

did it ever cross your mind that just maybe this person being a newb wouldn't have any idea what to be searching for?

more or less he's looking for opinions, not install guides or posts from those who have bought their own and just wanted to say "hey look what i got".

rr1santos - in my opinion, i would use a short ram specifically the one made by injen. it's got the most overall power gains and purely takes in nothing but good clean air because of it's shape and placement. most CAI's are a waste of time and space and do no good because of what air they are sucking in. most get stuck taking in warm or hot air which completely defeats the purpose of a CAI. this being based on the xB though, not all cars.
