Default Cheap exhaust... What makes it cheap?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/AXLEB...07074742QQrdZ1

I saw this on ebay. It's arguably cheaper than what others here seem to prefer, Strup, Greddy... And i was just wondering, besides sound (which is one concern), how do these fare? Has anyone bought an exhaust on ebay that wasn't "name brand" and it turned out fine? Welding was good? Installation was easy? Had a nice tone?

I'm just wondering, I don't have tons of money to spend, actually, I don't have any, but I'm saving up. I was just wondering what was everyones opinion on it.

But yeah, a nice clean deep tone was one concern, the other was to add a little more response, I think the 10-15hp increase is bs, but hey a few more couldn't hurt...

Yeah I mean, with a design thats nearly the same, how much different can it sound? I just hate that high pitched rice rocket wizzing sound that comes from exhausts (the kinds you see on civics!) I don't even want to to be like, wake the neighbors loud, I just think it would be nice to add a little more low end and give my car a boost. I don't wanna spend hella money.

Part of it is probably paying for the name. You pay a premium to get to say that you have a greddy or whatever name brand you choose. I picked up a hayame exhaust which sounds pretty good and was decently cheap i supppose. Good luck

why not get a Tsudo for 1$ more

I just ordered a Tsudo for my Tc & it should be here in the next few days. Also there are a few sponsors that sell Tsudo on here & may be able to beat that ebay price. Search Tsudo on here to get the sellers.

Clip of just an axle back (not cat back) on an xA

I know this exhaust has been a little contoversial between good & rice but I like the sound of it & it is just one more for you to consider. To each their own ya know

By the way, check with the seller of that N-1 just to be sure before you purchase. They are calling it a cat back, but the pic looks like an axle back to me. I would ask just to be sure he did not do a typing error on his ebay post, mainly due to the price.

Price seems really low for a full catback

if you dont wanna spend much def get the Tsudo. Mines great, good sound, slightly noticeable butt dyno. An axlebacks an axleback, they only look and sound different. Got it on ebay for like 150 shipped

I'm not familiar with Tsudo. I'm not exactly the kind of person that knows alot about this, I just like the sound haha. I just don't want the typical ricer sound, the video of the xA seemed pretty nice, I was digging it. Thanks, I will definitely consider that too.

I've been confused on that also. I was looking up definitions and it was confusing me.

quick answer is cat back runs all the way up to the catalytic converter and supposedly produces more pwerful results but only a couple, like 1 or 2 manufacturers, make it. Magnalfow being most popular. If you want a cheap cat back get it done custom at a muffler shop, otherwise put out 400-500 bucks. Axleback just bolts on well, from the axle, easy mod, still works fine. Most exhausts sold are axleback.

Default tsudo exhaust

i purchased my tsudo exahust from ebay for about 125 shipped a couple of months ago. Easy install, sounds great and increased the power a little bit, not much but well worth it.

when you say easy install...would i need to go and buy extra nuts and bolts or does it come with everything you'd need to install it properly?

thanks in advance

also has anyone tried this exhaust off of SSuperstore.com?

I have the N-1....bought it at ssuperstore.com for $109...it was an easy install and mine didn't need any modification with the hangers..the tip fell dead center in the rear spoiler cut out and it sounds great to me...nice deep rumble.
