Has any kept track of thier gas milage per gallon after installing the cold air induction? Did it get better, worse, the same?

But what were you getting before the intake?

I hope someone answers his question. I'd like to know this too!

After I put on my Injen short ram, my MPG went up 3-5 MPG (when I kept my foot out of it). Best I've gotten since the install back in April was 38MPG- mainly interstate, but I speed on the interstates...

Makes sense when you think about it, installing intakes, headers, and exhausts let the engine breathe easier, so it works more efficiently. Assuming you aren't tear-assing around because you've got a few more horses than you did before, any mod that increases the efficiency of the engine will benefit MPG.

i get 27 to 28 with my intake don't know what i was getting before. However if the engine is getting more air it will need more gas. the don't just run on air the computer calculates air fuel mixture.

Ok cid_mcdp, said his mpg went up with the short ram, any one put the long injen or any of the other long ones on, and how did they do for you? Right now with out the CAI, I am getting 30mpg with in town driving.

for real what? the 30mpg, yes. wanting to know about the long ram CAI, yes. I want some more power, and I am willing to loose a little bit of the mpg, but to much of a loss and that could damper one of the reasons I bought this xb. Plus I think the CAI looks awsome under the hood!!!
