Default Comming Soon: Urethane Motor Mounts

Hello everyone, my name is Ryan (Kyle's brother) and I am from AbComp Motorsports. We are going to do some research to figure out the most effective motor mount/s insert/s to replace. We will take into account ease of installation and final price so that we can create the best product for you our end users

ill do it, but my final decision would obviously be based on the price. the cost of the motor mounts from toyota is like $76, and there are really decent grades of urathane that only cost about $15-$30, so for about a hundred you can fill your own mounts, as long as the mounts are in that price range, im a definate, but ill spread the word to ther people so that we have more interest.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't urethane mounts just make your car vibrate more? What are the benefits?

It makes your car vibrate more becuase it is alot stiffer that the stock mount, which reduces wheel hop and unwanted engine movement. The reason it vibrates more is because the engine is more securely mounted to the frame and the vibrations are transfered through out the whole car.

Engine mounts are great for True proformance! If you like you car rattle free and like not hearing your engine while not racing your car MOUNTS ARE NOT FOR YOU! A dampner is more daily driver/weekend warrior. I know the Xb/Xa crowd dosent have a engine dampner out that "Works" Ingalls is working on a Stiffy for you guys. Trust me the Stiffy will work for you guys. As of now we have TC's with 250-300hp with little to no wheel hop. Thats results! With no daily driving problems. Check out www.ingallseng.com for more info

If I rember correctly... KMS Tunning had an issue with his crank pulley falling off and it messed up his engine and it cost him a pretty penny to fix it... and I think he swore he would never do another mod to it again... so that may put the engine mount project in jeopardy... So I wouldnt hold your breath.

Good news guys, this project is back, I will be working with another comapny to get this rolling, I will be posting a new thread in the next few days about it with more info and pics of other mounts he makes. Please spread the word, the price will be based on intrest. Also, ProshopXB was right, I did blow my engine in early fall, so I took a little break from modding for a while, but that was boring, now I'm back.

Glad to see your back.. and not modding is sooooo boring..

But strong motor mounts are a must for power to the ground.. so get these guys some good ones, they need them.

please hurr i need those mounts i keep destroying the stock ones and your right the monster dampiner is worthless. I bent the bracket into the blower idler on a had accleration. It would be also nice if you could make the attachment from the motor mount on the tranmission side from aluminum so it can get welded to the transmission. i can't be the only one haveing problems snaping those bolts off in the transmittion. send me a message ill be a guine pig on any new mounts the large passaenger side one it very bad right now.
