Default Custom Header q's?

Just wondering, why hasnt anyone done a custom header for the xB? Is there a problem with them? Since I didnt really like the fact that Monster Motorworks is the only company woth a true 4-2-1 xB header, I figured i'd have one fab'd up for me. Im considering having Destroyer Fabrication of Phoenix, AZ create a stainless 4-2-1 header with some trick tubular welds. If I do this, is there a chance that I either wont gain power or will lose power?

Thanks for any help!

I put the OBX 4-2-1 header on my xB and I dont think its worth the money to have one custom made. You dont gain enough to make it worth it.The header does sound good though

Ive heard bad things about OBX. Is it really a 4-2-1? Well I dont really care if its worth the money to make a custom one. Im not looking for higher gains than the Monster header (equal would be nice tho), im mainly looking for the twisting, tubular welds. They look really bad@$$ and its something id love to see every time i pop my hood.

The header is very hard to see because of the angle of the engine and the small space. I was thinking the same thing when I ordered mine and then realized I had to lean over the engine or be in just the right spot on the side of the car to see it. Plus it turned black from the heat so it's almost invisible.

Buy a premade header and save the extra cash for something else you can readily see or use. You'll be happier in the long run unless you just have to have something completely unique.

Ahhh ok. Good point. Well if the custom is any more than 100 bux more than the Monster...I wont get it. Thanks for the help. So does anyone have any ideas about the power gains?

I have a Strup header. I noticed a little bit of gain in the higher RPMs but it's nothing huge. The most bang for the buck that I've experienced so far, short of forced induction, is a lightened main pulley. I have Perrin and the difference is definately noticeable.
