Default DC Headers installed [Pic]

Seriously as easy to install as the strut bar. You don't need a lift, but it helps on the bolts at the collector.

Nobody makes a 4-2-1 header for a Scion yet, it would require moving the Cat further under the car to make room.

SocalbBox, did you happen to measure the exhaust port dia.?

oooh no I didn't. I could measure the stock exhaust manifold.

SoCalBox, Thanks but not necessary, I know the stock header dia. The problem is all the aftermarket header builders used a gasket as a template (without measuring the port) to make the flange and the gasket has a 1 5/8" hole so they build their headers with 1 5/8" primary tubes-that is huge for this little engine.

I have a gasket so I guess I'll have to pop my stock header off and measure the port.

This makes it so that now we can have someone with lots-o-cash upgrade the entire airpump part of the motor, from intake to tip. I'd like to see the numbers on that.. you think it would reach 115hp? maybe 100+ at the wheels? Naw, me either. You know though, it wasn't long ago that production 4cly bigger than this could only dream of making 100+ hp.. so it's not THAT bad. My 87 nova (corolla) was 1.8l.. or was it 1.6? anyway, 74bhp or was it 84? Anyway, I remember this... 42mpg!! The scion feels fast compared to that and my 95 contour.

I found my answer from above, according to some website this thing is carb legal.

the motors horsepower per liter is pretty weak given its small size. I imagine this is because the ports and cam are optimized for gas mileage and decent low rpm power.

I bet some head porting and a big cam could work wonders.

it should make over 100 at the wheels.

Remember your 87 mobile wasn't FI.

hell Stylis was making 100+ to the wheels with a cold air intake and his custom manifold back exhaust back at the Dyno Day at ModaCar in December... so with this thing and a proper intake and exhaust I would hope you can get more than 105, crossing my fingers..
