Default DC sport muffler RS 2.0

I took the resonater out of the muffler and now the xB sounds nice, a bit deeper, and a bit louder.

All it took was a 11mm socket and a wrench to hold the bolt.

With some plyers grab the lip of the Res and slide it out.

It was out in less than 3min.

Scale of 1 thru 10 it was a 2

I heard one at a local Scion meeting with no resonator, it sounded almost stock. That thing is surprisingly quiet. The aftermarket DC exhaust is at least twice as loud.

Default Draco

My Yellow 2.0 should be here next week. Where did you find the dragon? My son loves dragons. He is 15 and will be getting this ride............sometime. Depends on how much I like it. He may have to get a job and buy his own.

where is the resonator and do you have pics. Did you gut the resonator or remove it completely?

Default DC sport muffler RS 2.0

I got the dragon at pep boys. It was on a licence plate. I had to take it off the chrome plate and add 3M mounting tape. Thing is the grill curves so I had to add zip ties to head and tail to sucure it better. Then I got a gold paint pen from a craft store and painted the zip ties to blend them. Just remember to use small long ties. I used a kinda large one and it looked like crap. I cut it got a smaller one and redid the ties. Just an FYI

I think that what you heard was a car with the RES in. There is no way it could be quite with it out. When it's out more air flow hence more sound, and a deeper sound at that.

I took the RES out. It just slides in or out, it was a snap.

With the RES in it was quite and meek. Now it has something to say.

One can always take it out if you don't like it slide it back in. It aint brain sugery just a nut and bolt, REAL EASY!!!!

I agree... the muffler sounds waaaay better with the silencer removed. Took me 1min, and a dirty tshirt... should've used a jack!

yea the technical name is "Silencer" not resonator. resonators are before the muffler and after the cat i believe

i do know for a fact though, what you're thinking of is a silencer. i know what you meant but i want to clear it up for the others
