Default Does Autozone sell Denso plugs under the Autolite namebrand?

I found the correct Iridium plug ofr my xB as Denso model 5303 gapped .035 and then searched 5303 on Autozone's website to see if they stocked them. And it brought this up.

http://www.autozone.com/autozone/cat...14&totalPages=[I@798c3&currentPage=1&vehicleNValue=&sortType=null&fromType=oem&navValue=14200033&parentId=cat10003&fromString=search&filterByKeyWord=5303&categoryNValue=14299999&categoryDisplayName=Routine+Maintenance&_requestid=1472233

Is that a rebranded Denso Iridium plug sold as Autolite? Or should I stay away from this product.

A spark plug is a spark plug and does it's job as a spark plug.

Snoodge definition from the urban dictionary...

a loose cigarett , sometimes known as a loosy

AKA ; loosy, cigarette, square,smoke, ___

Well I read your post.

The Denso with the .044 gap is not the plug Denso reccomends for our car anyway. Search on the Denso website. They reccomend a .029 gapped plug. I figured the .035 gapped plug was somewhere right in the middle and thats the Denso that SparkPlugs.com reccomends for the xB if you want an iridium plug.

I want to change my plugs becase the car has 35k on the odo and I figured I may as well change em and then use them to over 100k if I get Iridium plugs.

I'm not taking crazy pills. Go on the denso website and search 06' xb. It reccomends .029. .044 is for the TC. Maybe your searching 2008 xb which would use the same plug as the tc.

2006

First of all, I was just kidding, hence the smiley face.

Second of all...

Lets think about this for a second, 04-07 are the same exact engine. The factory gap spec is .031.

.028 is a lot closer to .031 then .044 is.

Which one do you think is more likely in error?

Hey frogbox, are you going to continue dancing around my responses or address them directly.

The Denso website obviously lists different plugs for the different years. 04/05/06. is there any reason you can think of that 05' would be reccomending .044 and 06' would be reccomending .029?

Do you think there could have been a fuel system or ignition system change that nessecitated a plug gap change?

Im trying to understand because it affects which plugs people choose. You cant just blanket reccomend .044 when thats not what even Denso is reccomending.

If I remember correctly.... didn't the 06's change over to a CAN-BUS Ecu control system? I know that there is infact a difference in the pinout between the 05 and 06 Ecu's, maybe the minor differences affect how the Ecu controls ignition timing and other such aspects. Just my .02.

This is the most correct answer, at least for an '06. Use DENSO K16R-U or NGK BKR5EYA.

Your owners manual is a great source of information people...read it!

Worst advice EVER! Put some Champion plugs in your box and tell me if you still think a spark plug is a spark plug.
