I made the rear peice. had to be plastic welded and repainted. the driver side cut-out was grafted in from a passenger side peice that I bought (and cut up for the exhaust area), grafted the muffler in, the center together, and painted - reinstalled, all done.

It wont lose much power at all , the worst part about having a dual setup is the added weight

just get dual tips, get a Y pipe done after the muffler. no point in our cars to run dual exhuast like the tc has on it. although a custom garage exhuast would be awesome!!!

Default dual exhaust

so, consequently, any concrete facts as to which is technically better? the dual tips on a single muffler or the dual pipes off a single muffler? Opinions?

the dual pipe one would be slightly quieter , (normally) the best benefit is the more pipe arrangements you could place the tips in more places easily.

3.5 would be WAY too big unless you're using a turbo. As for "back pressure, I'm supprised with how often it's posted here (the magnaflow article, the how it works article) that people still think that your car requires "back pressure". that is totally false. when you go to a too large diameter pipe, exhaust VELOCITY is lost and thus results in deminished exhaust scavenging. As for Duals, If done properly you could GAIN HPm though it would be very neglegible like all the other exhaust setups on the xa/xbs

what about the borla catback? would this maintain exhaust velocity on an xa/b with just intake and headers? increase power? Its a pretty pricey setup at $580 but its soooo pretty

just look at the friggin thing, and I can instal it myself, which is a plus cuz i deff cant do a custom setup myself
