Default Exhaust alignment issues. TRD of all brands...

I have a TRD axel back on my xB and the damn thing wont center. I have tried every possible thing from repositioning it on the rubber, loosing the bolt and re-aligning it, kickin the dumb thing and it seems to end up leaning about 1/4" towards the left. Any ideas? I installed it myself and I'll post pics tomorrow after I wash her...

I have the same axleback TRD setup and mine aligned just fine. I also installed it myself...but I did have to reposition it at the clamp point a couple times to get it to hang just right.

Ah ok, so I have tryed playing with the rubber hangers but it just slips back to crooked. Does your exhaust hang past the bumper? Is this normal? Just making sure, because mine hangs out like its not supposed to be there or something.... Thank you all for your input!

sorry to let you guys know this but the TRD breaks the gaskets on the pipe. When the gasket breaks the alx eback will not center properly. Here is the pic of the gasket

Purchase a new gasket and install it for a perfect alignment again.

Also remember that you may have to loosen the clamp at the front of the new muffler, reposition, then tighten. Also, yes, use a new gasket when putting this on. Exhaust leaks suck, well, technically they blow...

i just had the TRD exhaust taken off my car for this very reason. But be careful that you keep it off of the rear valance because it costs 100 from the dealer to replace it once your muffler melts it when in comes in contact with it. Good luck but save your self the trouble and leave it stock.

Not to go off-topic but today I changed out my stock muffler on my xA with a Blitz NUR Spec. When I pulled the stock muffler off, I thought I would see that gasket but I didn't. xB only? I was worried at first until I realized the Blitz muffler's piping has a slightly larger outer diameter that slides over the OEM piping and secured with a U-bolt/bracket.
