I'm looking at getting an axle-back for my xB. However, I'd like something with a removable scilencer so I can quiet things down if I'm going on a long trip.

These are the systems I know have available scilencers:

Espelir JGT500
Tsudo N1-style
Blitz Nür Spec

What other muffers have this feature?

 

Hey theres 1 thats called the "RS*R GT2" that has a silencer and its removable....check it out...and it sounds sweet, check the exhuast thread clips forum to hear the exhuats yourself.... I know that will be the exhaust i will be running here shortly after after i get my rs 3.0 this saturday~ YAY!!

 

strup has a very inexpensive universal muffler that includes a silencer.

He is talking about the universal strup muffler. I currently have this on my car. It goes from loud to pretty loud. Don't expect a silencer to actually do what it sounds like it should. It is quieter on the freeway but you can still hear it.

 

Yeah, I've owned N1-style mufflers with scilencers before. (I usually didn't use them). However, for long trips, my wife likes them.

When you say "universal Strup muffler," do you not mean the V2 Strup axleback?

No, the v2 does not have a silencer. Not sure why not since the universal and v2 muffler are close to the same except the tip is longer on the v2.

You would think the only difference is the custom pipe bent to fit in the stock location like on the v2 but the tip is different as well.

 

You can buy a universal silencer though for a 4" opening.
