So will this glass break if some cold water gets on it after a bunch of driving?

Absolutly not, this is the same material that was used in the Apollo rockets & WWII aircraft windshields. It withstands from sub-zero to 950 degrees with no issues what at all, on top of that we do a chemical hardening to even further increase the impact factor 3 fold.

I have one on my wifes 04 Matrix since new & no issues along with several hundred motorcycles

Yes it's fully legal and this is the same material that was used in the Apollo rockets & WWII aircraft windshields. It withstands from sub-zero to 950 degrees with no issues what at all, on top of that they do a chemical hardening to even further increase the impact factor 3 fold.

clever and cool i think, i wouldnt do it personally ..just cant fathom having glass in such a critical spot as that BUT i am sure it wouldnt have any problems....just would hesitate on my daily driver

i'd wonder about getting into a minor fender bender ...rubber hose would give ..how much would glass give? ..then again accidents happen and do random damage anyway so maybe that is not a valid argument

still...cool i think

We understand this concern.

The glass is supported by rubber hose, you give enough hose to allow for torque & braking flex. The reason we make the hoses larger, this requires you to re-route them with x amount of play,

We have had cars that have been in serious accidents & the glass held one case it failed due to the car was wiped right to the motor

My wife has it on her car for 2 years 30,000 miles with no problems
Our tow vehicle has over 110,000 miles on it in all kinds of weather.
We have had zero failure on the glass with hundreds of them on the road including motorcycles, which really take a severe beating.

This is very similar to the pyrex glass you cook with

hmmm this does seem tempting, but im not so much into "looks" on the inside.

what got me thinking it would be cool is the fact i once installed a custom hand done water cooling setup in my computer once, so i guess its not so scary as i thought it was...sure a car is far more costly then a computer lol but i love my computer!!

anyway this is a cool mod i think, its different
