im gettinr eady to go to a drag stirp for the first time with my xa. should i wet up the tires or just burn out with the tires. they are the stock ones with only 3000 miles

 

go through the water just make sure you are all the way out befor doing your burnout all the water will evaporate or be thrown off and the watter will help assure both tires are spinning ....dont worry about it much just have fun an enjoy your self i remember being very unsure the first time i went with my 92 mustang now i have a xb and the mustang is a full time race car...

 

I have run about 20 passes in a few different cars. In a FWD car with stock tires you want to avoid the water as much as possible. It will make you spin the tires at the start. If you avoid the water and launch at a decent RPM, you should have a decent launch.

 

Don't go through the water more than likely all your going to do is drag water up to the starting line in the grooves of your tires.

 

DO NOT GO THROUGH THE WATER! Go to the start line, just before the stage lines, do a quick little spin just to clean your tires.. line up and run.

 

yeah thats what i was gonna do before i made this topic. figure just go around the water and do a quick spin at the stage.
