do you have an auto or a 5 speed?
and which is better for which? I figured an auto would benefit from the 4-2-1 and the manual would get more out of the 4-1? what do you guys think?

I think it's more of a personal preference. a 4-1 gives more top end. A 4-2-1 give more low end, I was looking for a little more grunt in the low end. These motors already wined up pretty quick.

I'm in the same boat.
I ordered a 4-2-1 and recieved a 4-1.. since I have a 5speed I was wondering if I should keep it, but I called them and asked for a return and the right product.

well, I installed the header tonight. it fit great at top and a little snug to the exhaust. I should have listen to other posts on here, because the donught gasket seems to be leaking. The hole for the bracket on the new header didn't line up quite right, but most aftermarket headers don't have it anyways. The drive home was alot more fun!!! I'll post pics soon.

Default update for you

ok, I got the pics of it installed. The only gripe I have about the header was the bracket did not line up with the bottom bracket to the motor. But most high end headers don't even have that bracket. I had to bend the bracket to get it to work. I thought the donught gasket was leaking, but it was just what i was hearing. Now that the motor has retuned itself. The header sounds nice. Not loud, but good tone when you get on it. The whole power band is better now. Doesn't make the car a rocket, but alot funner to drive. In my opinion the obx header is the best bang for your buck. Not the greatest, but will work.

here are the pics

Just curious...are the OBX tubes larger in diameter than the stock tubes? If they are, can you measure the outside diameter of each to give us an idea how much bigger they are? Also, did you happen to check the difference in weight between the stock set-up and the new pipes? Much thanks!

OBX is a brand well known for questionable quality.

I'm also having a hard time, trying to decide which headers to get. I know I want a 4-2-1, but having hard time deciding.

If you are truly dead set on a 4-2-1 I would say go with the MMW header.
