Sounds like a plan to me. I'd be interested to see how much oil actually goes through there. How much oil are you using in between oil changes? Any risk of running low to the point of damage?

Its not ALOT of oil, but enuff to coat the intake. Nothing major like a quart or anything. I'm still using 4 quarts at each oil change.
Its more preventive than anything else.
Its not like when I had my race car and had a few ounces after every session.

I hear ya on the race car thing. My RX-7 burns about 1 quart every 1500 miles. But it is supposed to do that so I don't worry about it. The oil blow by of Toyota engines was news to me though.

Probably not the best price out there but a here is a link to the product and part numbers. Loads of places sell them. Do a Google search and then compare prices. $85 to $95 seems like the current range.

Yup. I got the "Universal T Bracket". Its sold by Greddy and you can order it at many of the places that sell the oil can. Basically it lets you mount the can anywhere that the bracket can bolt to. It costs like $5 or $6.

got my oil catch can off ebay for 15.00 came with all the stuff to mount it but no instructions (not that it matters) tight fit inbetween my full cold air intake but it works. after driving for 2 days the line looks pretty much clean but slightly greasy inside but i dont expect to see any oil in for like 3 months at least

Since this thread's been resurrected, how are people liking their catch cans after many months of usage? did the oil continue tobuild up? worth more than bling?
Does brand really make a difference? WR is the cheapest name brand that I've seen (only one under $100). There's also the fleabay route.
how do these things work? by having a cool surface for the oil to condense onto? If so, then brand only matters for the bling factor.
thanks

well only problem i had was the seals were leaking oil on my Inake pipes and the tube that came with it was flattening out under the suction along with there not being a large enough hole for proper air to go though , removed it and bought a heavy duty replacement hose , still gotta go through and reseal all the seals and then dill out the input/output holes before reinstall, personally i dont think it makes much of a difference

Seems like a lot of work. Lately, whenever I go cheap on car stuff I always pay for it later.
I hope the Weapon R isnt cheap crap.
71 dollars with shipping.
