That's what it does. If you haven't been having overheating problems due to airlock then it just goes back to being purty, basically. I haven't heard of these cars having a lot of overheating issues, just look at how much wind is hitting the front and being pushed into the radiator. Maybe someone with a temp gauge can give some insight on the temp ranges they operate under.

If your at the track and the car starts getting hot after several runs, this may help but for the regular driver, I don't see it being useful.

 

Here in hot central FL running ac ALL the time, my gauge seldome gets over 200. At freeway speeds it stays about 190 to 195. Stop and go it approaches 200. I have seen about 205 once. Essentially right where it was designed to be.

I live in So Cal, if it works just a lil when it is hot here, what happens when it is cold?

 

It does the same thing as the plastic tank your car has now. Gives room to expand as the coolant gets hotter. Just like air, the colder the denser. Notice the "warm" and "cold" lines on the stock tank...

Without it, you couldn't fill your radiator all the way when it's cold because it would overflow when it gets hot. You don't want to leave air space in the radiator for expansion.

According to Newtmaker, the car, even under a good load, stays right about where it ought to be. I'd bet the thermostat is right about in that range.

It's not going to make more power or really help anything UNLESS you're having overheating problems due to airlock beyond the limits of the stock tank.

 

So it wouldn't really make a real difference if I added it or not? Also, if i used the trd sports thermostat, and this, would that let my car run cooler, and add a little more life, or like you said it would just be more show than anything.
