I'm just wondering if they're worth it.

Sorry I didn't mean to make it plural, I understand. 4 to 1 << ha righhttttt.
But you know what I mean.
Yeah I'm worried that it'll be too much of a pain to install, it's a pretty tight fit it looks like.

it was more of a pain for the 2 bottom screw's becuase i have the first version so i had to get em on with those dam springs on the screw..gave up and had my buddy do the 2 screws at his shop but the install is not to bad about 1 hr worth of work..its worth it..i got i/h/e and around 3,900 rpm it pulls
this one looks awesome, especially since it comes with s-pipe.

It seems more expensive @ 525, but it is 2 parts.

I'm skeptical about the $50 header.

Weapon R is really expensive...
I just got the Weapon-r 4/2/1 header. Love it. Really pulls in the low and mid RPM range. You won't be able to use the stock heat shield and the two spring bolts on the exhaust donut gasket are not threaded so it's a bit of a pain to install but if you have air tools, not too dificult. I'm probably going to get a lightened pulley next.
I have the Megan v1 header. It works fine, but yeah having the two holes not be threaded was a pain int he rump, but after that it's pretty good. The stock spring loaded bolts were a biscuit too.
Yeah Weapon R is hard to find on ebay.
Is 4-2-1 better than 4-1?
So with the Megan header, can I use the stock heat shield?
I'm looking around for places to install it, most places specialize in wheels and tires or body work though.

If you were looking for top end gains, then the 4-1 header knowing that you wouldn't gain in the low to mid RPM range.
Please note: I have read on several posts that if you have a 4-1 header and a CAI, you may lose torque on the low/mid range. If you had a SRI, it would not be as noticible.
That doesn't sound good.
Although 110hp to 120hp (if that) isn't a big deal anyway.
I'm looking for a nice sound as well.
This guy I know that knows a lot about cars said that headers are generally very hard to install, will anything have to be removed to install a header in the xB?

Really tho, the xB header is a piece of cake to install as long as you have the collector bolts needed. I reused my stock donut and the install (taking my time) was under an hour. The only real pain is working between the firewall and motor. It does help to have the front end up on jack stands so you can use a long extention on the lower connection.
