so a lot of you guys are saying "get the ebay header" is this the one you guys are speaking of? or if not can i get a link to the header that is good?

so whats the diff between the stainless and the ceramic?
is the ceramic coated one going to last longer?or???

 

The ceramic coating helps keep the heat down a bit. Other than that, they're about the same.

 

Also does a heat sheild need to be modified to put on these type of header or you really do not need the heat sheild?

The heat shield isn't really necessary.

On a 5-speed, people have occasionally had issues with the shifter cable melting, but I think that's a rare occurrence.

If you're really worried about it, you can stick a piece of heat wrap along the header where the cables run.

hey buddy, I was where you are about 3 years ago. I also bought an eBay header and it was a good product. It did its job, but it was ultimately swapped out for real power. Don't expect excellent welds nor build quality, but the header did last me 4 solo 1 events, so it can take the heat and about that beautiful chrome don't expect it to stay like that, it will look like $hit after 1 year, but wont rust.

FYI, I got mine shipped for less than $50, but that was 3 years ago...

 

my buddy just bought one for his civic. we will see how it goes.
