Headers: Ceramic Coat or Stainless Steel???
Yeah I like the ceramic cause you can show it off cause the lack of heat lets you keep the cover off. Heat is not your friend
But also keep in mind the type your getting. There is the 4-2-1 good for high end and the 4-1 good for low end I hear.
I have the steel M2 Racing header and love it on the highway.. but need the heat shield on it seems.

youll feel the 4-2-1 from about 3000-5000rpm
the 4-1 kicks in about 4000-6000rpm
lots of the JDM circut cars have a 4-1 because they are high reving and spend the majority of the time in the high rpm range. hence why the piece is refered to as a "4-1 race header"
Then why do I have a 4-2-1 "Racing" header? and I get 0 affect from it really on street and WOW on it when I am on the highway? I get excellent acceleration over 60mph. rev's big and moves fast when I want it to.
I mean what I am talking about might have 0 to do with my header. Been wrong before. Also maybe this is getting off topic?

Hey guys, so I found a 4-2-1 stainless header on ebay for like 80 bucks. It's cheap, 4-2-1, but stainless steel (not cool cause of the heat factor). And, I found a DC Sports 4-2-1. It's ceramic but it's two piece (heavier than one piece) and it's kinda expensive. I don't race or anything but I would like to make my xA fast enough to get out of danger when it comes. Does anyone have any suggestions? Generic ebay header for $80 or DC header for $300?
GET THE DC HEADER..I MIGHT BE A LITTLE BIT ON THE EXPENSIVE SIDE..BUT FOR THE PRICE U GET WHAT U PAY FOR....GOT THE DC ON MY BOX..HAD A CHAEPER MODEL..WAS ALWAYS LEAKING AT THE HEAD AND THE COLLECTOR...NO PROBLEMS WITH THE DC..
I don't really mind spending the money on the DC header.. the only thing is that I have not yet been able to find a one piece DC 4-2-1. Is the two piece that much heavier and will it make that big of a difference as opposed to if I got a one piece design?
Wow, guys need to be real. Stainless steel headers are excellent. I wanted the DC header but it was not out yet by the time I was ready to buy. My M2 4-2-1 racing headers rock just fine. Nothing cheap about them performance wise and I spend over $200.
I would say nay to the ebay $80 header though. Unless its a decent brand. Can you tell us what brand it is?

STAINLESS STEEL IS REAL JUST FOR LOOKS...WE BUILD RACE MOTORS WERE I WORK AND CERAMAIC IS THE WAY TO GO FOR LONG LASTING AND HONESTLY WE HAVE SEEN SOME GAINS IN HP AND TRQ WITH CERAMIC...BESIDES THE DC ARE SO FAR THE ONLY ONES THAT ARE STAMPED WITH A CARB EXEMPT BADGE...
Yes DC are the only ones I know that are carb legit in CA. But I think your very wrong about the stainless steel headers. Like your saying I am making up my results. I am not so than some ones info is off. Not trying to start an argument here though or trying to offend anyone,
If I took of my SS M2 4-2-1 racing headers off and put my stock back on and you tested both there wold be an obvious diff. on the highway after 60mph.
