Hey how was the H.P. header it looks better than the Megan Header. I was just wondering if you had seen any difference between the H.P. header and maybe the D.C. or Megan Headers?

 

hp? dont know bout that one but i can just about guarantee that all of em will be within 1hp and one tq of each other

Maybe it's just me but doesn't the Megan header look just like the OEM header but in Stainless Steel :?

Have you seen the OEM header it is the crappiest design ever
Where the 4 pipes come together to 1 the 4 pipes are smashed together and really restrictive

 

all the headers look quite similar. all yield approx the same gains.

 

Because of the short lengths involved, or lack of room, you prolly won't see much of a deviation in designs from whomever produces a header for the xB.

 

In the picture here the welds look very nice (quality) But I notice there is not an auxilary support bracket near the end of the header where the intermediate pipe mounts like on the stock manifold. I have seen pictures of a header that has this bracket mount. Any one know the manufacure of the header with the brace mount or is the extra support really needed I would think it would be knowing the amount of vibration a 4 cylinder can make without the extra support there is a lot of stress on the manifold flange welds at the head.

 

i know the el prototypes has it. it's not really needed tho.

Looks pretty nice and now I need to find where to buy it. Check their site and cant find it... And I don't know which ebay auction is the meagan racing header.

 

ebay. it's the auction stating stainless steel. just make sure when u check the listing it states megan racing , another way to know is the kinda tanish colored warranty card with megan racing printed on it

 

Thanks, I'll get it whenever the winner of my auction on Ebay decides to pay me. So the Meagan header comes with gaskets? Do they come with new bolts/studs or we reuse them?

 

they do come w/ new gaskets (see pics above)
bolts/studs. they do not come w/ it. also you will need to get a longer bolt w/ nut for your exhaust flange. the old ones are too short. (per hotbox05 & OrAnGeBoX)

actually the second gen fits , it wasnt that the bolts were too short it was that my almost prototype wasnt threaded so the flange needed longer bolts with seperate nuts to hold it all together. but yeah i love my setup.

 

so hotbox05, would we stiil need diff size dia.,length bolts w/ nut?? help me, dawg :D

 

if your newer header has threaded holes on the header to down pipe flange then no. if those are clean holes then yes longer bolts and new nuts.
