I've been thinking of the best way to make my 2006 xA, auto into a canyon carver. Suspension/rigidity first: Hotchkis sways, poly bushings all around, lower H brace, Raceland coilovers, motor mounts, etc. Where might I be able to find a rear brake kit? Or even better what other cars' OEM rear brakes fit on the xA?

But now I've been looking into more power to match the handling. I will most likely do a custom turbo build, but I will have to build a bit of the engine: forged pistons, forged rods, short ram intake, maybe piggyback probably standalone ECU, Nology spark plugs and wires, 360+cc injectors. I won't do plasma coils, heard they can be bad for engine life. Anything else I might be forgetting or haven't heard of yet?

I've also heard that an LSD would help. Any knowledge on them?

 

Whoa whoa whoa guy. You got the waaaaayyyyyy wrong car for all of this. Custom turbo kit for a shiit box? That's way too much effort and time and money dude. Slap some coilovers and an autozone intake on it and call it a day. My god...

 

If you got deep pockets, then go for it. it won't be cheap to modify. Get something that is proven and tried

What about my other advice, get something better. Its his money, let him do what he wants. Not too long ago someone turned a Lamborghini into a mustang. Not my taste nor my money.
