Yes that was the plan, but since I had the xb paid off, and the payments on the si along with insurance was going to rape me, I decided to put my engineering talents to work.

I'm loving all the doubt everyone has keep it coming. haha

If you did complete this swap, congrats on having an unregisterable car now. Dont let the cops catch you with that motor in the car on the streets, it will be impounded if your state laws are anything like they are here.
Here in Indy there is no echeck, or any testing for the cars you register.

And yes now that one person has mentioned it, I am going to wait until it's debut at HIN before I release pics.

Sorry no dyno sheet, or 1/4 mile time, none of the tracks are opened here yet. And I ran into a few problems while driving it for the first time the other day.

SO it is now back in the garage having suspension installed

Torque steer in a 170hp box is ridiculous!

Well I had a b18c1 complete block laying around that was from my last integra. So I picked up a b16 head and put it together. I have only driven it one time and it is a little awkward in the corners but that is getting taken care of now. I have good friends so the swap actually didn't cost much. I think I have about 3grand in everything including the newly acquired suspension.

I'm loving the haters on here. But I can't blame them pics would be proof, but even better proof will be at HIN HA

Seriously, get a disposable camera, snap some shots and develop as a photo CD, bam! instant pix. That'll shut the haters up

I'm hoping to head up with lunchbox, and illnist but as of now the box isn't ready I'll be pushing hard over the weekend to get it complete.

I don't have to provide pics to prove anything to anyone, proof is in the pudding, I will be at HIN and then I'm sure someone including myself will post pics.

I agree 100% it depends on the driver. My friend has a Civic Si with header, intake, short shifter, and exhaust. Off the line I had a better launch and reaction time, and had him till about 10 ft. before the line, at which point he made me look like I was sitting still. It surprised the hell outta me that my car could even run that fast.

At first I was going to get Robbie to help out, but he is busy all the time. I have another friend here in town that runs a shop called MSL and he helped me alot.

My dog is still around, he is getting pretty old now.

Illnist acts like he is going to head up there with me, and I have to show in the Electronic Performance booth.

Just a small list of what had to be done to make it fit:

custom axles (shortened and splined to work with the xb's hubs)

engine mounts (one of a kind!) My buddy is actually going to start manufacturing them.

ecu- my xb ecu was modified to work with the acura motor, I do not know much about this other than it works.

shift linkage- handmade by me! the shift lever is alot lower than the stock xb, but it just looks like an extremely short shifter

body- part of the strut towers and the fire wall had to be modified to get a stock looking appearance for the engine

exhaust- dc sports 4-1 header custom 21/4 piping all the way back (straight pipe) no cat or muffler

suspension- believe it or not the Acura motor was alot heavier than the stock xb motor so I had to order eibach springs with custom rates for the front, I also had to use a suspension support x brace underneath.

That's about it, oh yeah the whole front suspension had to be removed to get the damn thing in the engine bay (from underneath)

Dude, I am IllNist, this is the only board that my name doesnt match. Hense I signed up pre car and just never changed it.
I wasnt aware you were talking about chicago hin in your message to me I thought you meant indy. I had tried hard to go to the Chicago one, and begged alot, but we are minus one of the management staff forcing me to not be able to as I hoped to.
Dont worry dude I will be hitting every other small or big event or get together this spring/summer/fall there is.
