Default Looking for exhaust suggestions

I have the YDR SRI aon my xB w/ auto nd I want to add an axleback. I am looking for something that has a nice sound when driving streets but one that isnt too loud at highway speeds. Mainly because I take long trips. I was looking at the precision muffler auto axleback. Any suggetions?

I used to have a DC axle back exhaust. It was too loud for my taste. I tried using a silencer, but it felt like it made less power than the stock exhaust.

On Saturday, I had a local muffler shop make a custom exhaust for my xB. Starting from the back of the stock resonator, I had 2" pipe run to a Walker muffler with a perforated tip.

It is not as loud as the DC exhaust but has a sporty tone. It is slightly louder than stock at freeway speeds. It is loudest when accelerating or driving under load i.e. uphill. I'm happy with it. It ran about $250 for everything, which is less than most axle back exhausts.

In conjunction with my AEM CAI and MMW headers, my xB feels stronger from around 3K RPM and pulls stronger to redline.

Good luck with your decision making process.

Ha Ha, you know what im going to say HungSolo, DC Sports. It took about 3 or 4 days to get use to the sound of the exhaust, because there is a world of difference between the stock sound and the DC sports one. I have a 3 year old that sits in the back seat and she never once complained about the exhaust being to loud, and let me tell you she isn't scared to complain when somthing bothers her, LoL. But riding home with the stock exhaust last night was awful no great sound and the power was almost all gone that i had earlier in the day. But there are alot of good exhaust out there, you make desicion thats best for you.

quiet axleback? Greddy SP2, Tanabe Medalion Touring or Medalion Concept g (both under 93 db) or Tanabe Super Medalion Hyper (under 95 db). From there...go with what you think looks good.

i have a NKB axle back. Its really a low sound, Its from japan. It starts off with a deep tone on low rpms then fades out as it goes higher in rpms.
