Boys and girls, here's the article I've been telling you guys about. Chris Neprasch from oVerboost.com was at our facility here last Wednesday and we did an install and several dyno runs on their project xB. If you've picked up or plan to pick up our system, pay close attention to how the installation is done to get this thing on your vehicle without any problems. Take a look at their article and feel free to leave some comments on here for us... enjoy!

Can you show a pic of the b-pipe connection at the cat. The stock b-pipe and cat are one pipe. I assume you are adding a new cat, but where is the picture?

edit: You have to CUT!!! ah man. :?

I agree the Magnaflow looks like a very nice and well-designed exhaust. Still from looking at the dyno charts that seems like a big chunk of change for a 3 whp gain @ 6000 rpm, with a small but measurable effect on low-end torque (look between 2000 and 2500 rpm).

I wonder how it'll perform after a few hundred miles after the ECU has a chance to re-learn all of its settings.

Yep....The b-pipe and the cat is all one piece..You have to cut it and clamp it. No biggy though.

No biggie on the cutting. I figure, you sell converters, why not just put one in the kit.

I just got an explanation on why. I guess you can't sell a system with the cat. You cannot replace emissions equipment, only if it fails.

Those pics just reminded me of volkswagons and the slip fit.

If they sold the kit with a cat, it wouldnt be $500 for a stainless cat back kit. Then they would have to do a downpipe also. They might as well do a full head back exhaust including header...hehehe

Oooo...I think im on to something.

Yes. Typically when you free up your exhuast you reduce the backpressure. It is backpressure on the engine that creates torque. If you open that up more and reduce the backpressure you will reduce your torque a little but make more HP. Granted you really don't lose torque it just flattens the torque curve out some and widens it from end to end. That is why you create more hp because there is more space under the torque curve than before even though torque does not peak as high.

Everyone fails to see the obvious. Everyone talks about how they want to put forced induction on the cars and supercharger this and turbo that. Well kiddies, if you're going to force feed the motor, the stock exhaust tubing with an aftermarket muffler just ain't going to cut it. The MAGNAFLOW adds a quarter-inch of piping through the whole system so it is going to be able to handle more total horsepower.

Default Just installed a Magna Flow on XB

Just installed my Magna Flow that I received today. Had to weld the pipe connection around the gas tank instead of using the clamps due to limited clearance recommended by the guys who put it in. Doesn't not sound like RICE. It is quite a bit louder inside the car though, maybe a little too loud for my taste on acceleration but ok when cruising. Real nice set up though, and real clean. I agree with the tip, but really it depends on personal taste. I don't really like the rolled tip, but the quality is apparent as expected from a top company. I live in SD, so if anyone want's to check it out your welcome to contact me to take a look/drive.

I probably overlooked this, but:
Where can I buy this exhaust? I'm in VA, so a closer place might be easier on shipping, but if there are none it's ok. Thanks.

If you go to the magnaflow website, you can type in your zip code and find a dealer in your area. If no one is available in your area, I can offer my sevices as a magnaflow dealer for ya! :D Hope this helps.

Anyone else out there have a source for these? Stylis doesn't seem to be posting a price and I was hoping to find it cheaper than the 438.00 at Hottexhaust. Anyone??
